Nearly everything you need to research a property is published by government under an open licence. This is the working list, what each one covers, and where each one stops.
The open datasets, and their coverage

Most of these are released under the Open Government Licence v3.0, which permits commercial and non-commercial reuse with attribution. That is why this site can show them to you for nothing.
The coverage column is the part people skip and then get wrong. A UK-wide claim built on an England-only dataset is a common and avoidable error.
